Starting in December of 2006, the IRS now requires all charitable contributions of artwork valued over $5000 and household contents over $500 to have an appraisal by a "Qualified Appraiser". The IRS definition of a "Qualified Appraiser" includes the necessary education, credentials and experience, and membership in one of the accepted appraisal organizations. As an accredited member of the International Society of Appraisers, Shelley Hall is a "Qualified Appraiser" according to IRS guidelines.
