The Balance of Nature

Expressing the spiritual in the ordinary. A delicate line of opposites in balance.

Creating a calm, almost dreamlike sense of place, the beauty of nature is bold, changing, and rather delicate.  We co-exist with nature, building our structures on her delicate layers, sometimes destroying, and always changing.

There is a distinct separateness in my work, creating a division of space, and a sense of order. The black and white landscapes coexist next to the bold, artificial expanse of color. Subtle and bold, natural and artificial.  Muted and vibrant.

Shelley Hall has been exhibiting her paintings in Galleries and non-profit arts organizations since 1993, including  Solo and group exhibitions.  Her work is included in numerous private and public collections throughout the United States.
